Manson’s role in his new film calls him for a new band! This is what the producer of Pressman said at Cannes:

“Marilyn is a death metal rocker, which is a different kind of music than he’s known for. He’s going to form a new band for the film… that would record or tour for this new entity.” He also said, “Evan is one of these two Splatter Sisters. They’re… totally alienated from their families, who are not good to them, and they take on a vagabond life. They’re on the road… to go to Hollywood. They’re fans of Marilyn’s band and become indoctrinated under his spell in the movie.”

Now this sounds freaking cool! I wasn’t intrigued about the idea of the film when I first heard about it(click here) but this just made me interested. I am not that big a fan of Manson’s music but there are a couple of his soundtracks that I love wholeheartedly(“If I Was Your Vampire” being the most favorite). I’m not also a fan of death-metal(I keep it to rock, groove, nu, thrash metal & Eminem!). Still, I will be waiting to see how he takes on the genre.

What do you think about this?

Ah I loved Hatchet. Adam Green did something outstanding with that movie. I loved Joel Moore in the film but to our surprise, he won’t return for the second film of the franchise. But there is good news, one of my favorite horror actress will be playing Marybeth, Danielle Harris, I love her to death. I’m hearing great things about Hatchet 2 and here we get 2 new posters of the film(thanks to dreadcentral):

Click on the images for a bigger view.

And to my surprise, this looks rather bland!! Just 2 Hatchets? That’s a total ripoff of the first poster lol. But I do think they look really really cool and I’m going to forgive the “ripoff” angle here because this is just a teaser.

Here’s another horror film update of Marilyn Manson(& Evan Rachel Wood). But this is a new one. ‘Splatter Sisters” is advertised as a squashed genre film, sexploitation-slasher. Adam Lough wrote the screenplay of the film and David Gordon Green is set to direct. The director says: “This is a role Marilyn Manson was born to play and with Evan bringing dramatic gravity to the ensemble, I have no doubt this will take the horror genre to a new level.”

So, I like Marilyn Manson. And with his depth of weirdness, I believe he might just be a horror film gem in the rough. I don’t really like the idea of this film, but we’ll see.

Okay, this is the first time I’m breaking down a trailer like this and shared the things that excited me the most. Machete is a exploitation film based on a fake trailer. Directed by Robert Rodriguez. This trailer got me interested in the film.

So, I’ve been a little slow on the posting, I’m going through a busy time 😛 Anyways, this is a project of ‘Laid To Rest’ director Robert Hall. I really want to see Laid To Rest, 2 of my most liked horror blogs have given it a genuinely attracting review. I’ll watch it any day of the week now. Here’s his latest project and the following paragraph is totally from the original post from BloodyDisgusting:

Director Robert Hall (Lightning Bug, Laid to Rest, “Fear Clinic”) is gearing up for his latest horror endeavor that takes a new spin on the great 80’s metal myth. Old Scratch follows Neven, a washed up musician living his his own faded shadow in Atlanta. One night, after another sparsely attended gig one his his former bandmates Terry shows up and playes one of their own demo records backwards with fatal consequences. Now He must return to his roots and revisit a past he had hoped would stay forever buried. He has to find all six cursed demo records and decipher the eerie hidden messages before more blood is shed. We got our mitts on the official teaser that features Thomas Dekker (Laid to Rest, All About Evil, A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser, and Kevin Gage (Chaos, Laid to Rest). What do you guys think?

Yeah so this idea is supposed to attract me! Check out the teaser trailer(which, by the way, I LOVED):

By the way, Lamb Of God rules!!!(totally random).Randy Blythe is the shit!

So, I did a post two days back mentioning how excited I am about Buried. And here we get a Lionsgate teaser of the film and holy shit! it’s:

  • exciting.
  • claustrophobic(I swear I dont suffer from claustrophobia but this just gave me the creeps).
  • Ryan ‘fucking’ Reynolds goodness.
  • it’s disturbing to say the least.
  • and it left me thinking how will I finish the whole movie.

My excitement just peaked real high and I cannot wait.

Check out the trailer, and what do ya think? :

Okay, believe me this little indie flick is going to be so fucking awesome, everyone will be thunder struck. Yes, this stars the awfully amazing Ryan Reynolds and the film is a one man show. We will only see him in the whole movie(which is gonna be like 70 minutes) and hear a couple of other voice actors. So why am I so excited? Because:

  • This played at this years Sundance and it got some major positive reviews, like a 10/10 sorta reviews! and by majority I mean 95%!!
  • It’s a one man show by Ryan Reynolds, I just don’t see how it will go wrong.
  • The plot and premise of the film is wonderfully fresh.
  • I read 1/3 of the script[1/3, because I don’t spoil my movies] and it was really good, my only fear was, it will end up boring but it didn’t. Time just flew by.

Yes, these are my reasons. Lionsgate picked it up because of it’s unusual success at Sundance. I’d ask you to check it out whenever it will be released(August or September 2010 is scheduled for release as far as I know. Here’s the plot and 3 posters for you enjoy(and mind you, by this movie you will know what claustrophobia actually means!!!):

Plot: Paul is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it’s a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.

“Just tell me this doesn’t look cool, and I will haunt you in your nightmares!!”

“Claustrophobic yet!? 😉 “

What do ya think? Will ya be keeping an eye on this?

The trailer of Jonah Hex is yet to be released. The first trailer for the upcoming “Jonah Hex” will be debuting on Syfy on April 29, 2010. Until then, check out this 10 second promo trailer for the well, trailer, and btw it looks sorta badass:

People pick on me still because I liked the first Twilight movie, it was nothing great. A simple guilty pleasure but the things I liked most about the film was some members of the Cullen family. Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed to be more specific. But I wasn’t a fan of New Moon because it was annoyingly lovey-dovey. So here comes the trailer of the third film of the franchise and it looks great. It has David Slade(director of Eclipse who directed the amazing 30 Days Of Night) written all over it.
As for the trailer, it’s fantastic. Thanks to Slade now we can call this franchise a real horror!

  • The vampire rampages looks quite similar to 30 Days Of Night, which is a great thing.
  • The vampires coming out of the water bit was creepy.
  • Full-frontal vamps vs. wolfies, been a while since Underworld.
  • Jackson Rathbone amazed me with his film ‘Dread’(check out my review on the left) and his 3 seconds appearance in the trailer gave me chills. The dude is awesome.

These are the things that gives me hope that this film will be spectacular.

I know I will be flamed for liking Twilight, but say whatever you want about the last two films, Slade will do great!

Check out the trailer:

Reports are coming out that actress Juno Temple has signed on to star in the upcoming film “Jack & Diane”.

“Jack & Diane” is a werewolf film,  it’s not a straight horror film, but more a love story between two teenage girls  where one of the girls becomes a werewolf.

Juno Temple previously appeared in films like “Year One”, “Notes on a Scandal”, “Atonement” and “The Other Boleyn Girl”.

I remember Juno Temple from Year One only and I gotta say she is pretty good. I need to see her in a lead role to judge her acting better but she is pretty damn hot. And yes I’m dying to see some more werewolf movies as vampire and zombies are done to death by now(I dont have a problem with that either, I just wanna see more from this sub-genre as well).

Reviews Pending.
