Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll. This film is under the work’s since 2004. No wonder it didn’t sell back then, from what I saw from the trailer, the film is gonna be really weird. Manson has recently talked about returning to the project he abandoned four years ago. Lily Cole was originally cast as Alice, alongside Tilda Swinton and Evan Rachel Wood. Lily Cole is great, you might recognize her from Heath Ledger‘s last film The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus.

The plot of the film: Victorian England. A haunted writer in an isolated castle is tormented by sleepless nights and visions of a girl named Alice. He finds himself becoming a symptom of his own invention. “Now all my nightmares know my name.” He is Lewis Carroll. Terrified of what waits for him each night.

As for the trailer, what I saw was a pornographic video with quick-cuts and blood with cool music and some really weirdness in it(I know I sound dumb). But I will definitely watch this film no matter what I think about it. As for one, Marilyn Manson is really good when it comes to music and I like his theatricality. Maybe a kick-ass soundtrack!?

According to Marilyn-Manson.net, “This teaser also features real-life twin sisters engaging in questionable acts and burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese in artistic, full-nude. The figure in the medical mask is artist Gottfried Helnwein and the bird-face masked character and white gloved Lewis Carroll impresario, is Marilyn Manson.”

Check it out and what do ya think?

Canadian actress Rachel McAdams might be starring in 2 horror movies. Mind you this is just a rumor from a legitimate  source(Collider). But probably she will do this 2 flicks and make us happy, after all, who doesn’t love Rachel. Wedding Crashers was the movie that made me fall in love with her. Anyways, the two films:

1) The Orphanage:

It is the remake of the Guillermo del Toro produced Spanish language film, “El Orfanato.”

I haven’t seen it but what I’ve been hearing, it was a really good and creepy film.

2) We Have Always Lived in the Castle:

“We Have Always Lived in the Castle” is an adaptation of the 1962 Shirley Jackson novel about two young girls forced to live with their dying uncle in an isolated mansion, after the rest of the family is poisoned.

This sounds promising to me. Are you glad about her joining the genre? Or should she just leave it alone!?

“Now that’s a hell of a bad-ass poster. Click on the image for a bigger/better view”

Release Date: TBA 2010

Studio: After Dark Originals

Director: Valeri Milev

Screenwriter: Michael Hurst

Starring: Scott Adkins, Daniella Alonso, Bruce Payne, Roger R. Cross, Raicho Vasilev, Jesse Garcia, Rocky Marshall.

I don’t know any of the other actors but Scott Adkins being cast is great news. You might recognize him from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he was Weapon XI(apparently the worst thing about the movie, they fucked with Reynolds’ Wade Wilson!). But don’t lose faith in him just yet! He had a small role in last year’s mindless action flick The Tournament and he did some awesome stunts in it. But he permanently came to my notice with his cult action film Ninja and he proved he can act AND do kick-ass stunts. The movie was good entertainment as well. I’m waiting to check out his latest horror flick Stag Night which is not out here, yet. So I can assure he is good news. But the real good news is, the plot. It could be great if done right.

Plot Summary: Five years after the Outbreak, a zombie menace is supposed to be warning. But the brave men and women of R-Division, who find and destroy the undead, are seeing signs of a second Outbreak which humanity may not survive. The footage about the men and women of R-Division and their grim, dangerous but essential job of exterminating re-animated humans, was shot the week previous by an embedded journalist during a long, deadly day. Only the film survived.

So what do y’all think?
