“Now that’s a hell of a bad-ass poster. Click on the image for a bigger/better view”
Release Date: TBA 2010
Studio: After Dark Originals
Director: Valeri Milev
Screenwriter: Michael Hurst
Starring: Scott Adkins, Daniella Alonso, Bruce Payne, Roger R. Cross, Raicho Vasilev, Jesse Garcia, Rocky Marshall.
I don’t know any of the other actors but Scott Adkins being cast is great news. You might recognize him from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he was Weapon XI(apparently the worst thing about the movie, they fucked with Reynolds’ Wade Wilson!). But don’t lose faith in him just yet! He had a small role in last year’s mindless action flick The Tournament and he did some awesome stunts in it. But he permanently came to my notice with his cult action film Ninja and he proved he can act AND do kick-ass stunts. The movie was good entertainment as well. I’m waiting to check out his latest horror flick Stag Night which is not out here, yet. So I can assure he is good news. But the real good news is, the plot. It could be great if done right.
Plot Summary: Five years after the Outbreak, a zombie menace is supposed to be warning. But the brave men and women of R-Division, who find and destroy the undead, are seeing signs of a second Outbreak which humanity may not survive. The footage about the men and women of R-Division and their grim, dangerous but essential job of exterminating re-animated humans, was shot the week previous by an embedded journalist during a long, deadly day. Only the film survived.
So what do y’all think?

Director: Brian Pulido
Cast: Tony Todd, Clare Grant, Bill Moseley, Jillian Murray, Randy Blythe.
Synopsis: Two inseparable sister’s visit to a remote mine town turns into a mind-bending fight for survival against menaces both human and supernatural.
The Good
Yes there is a good thing about this flick. The only good thing. Other wise I already would’ve flipped out by now. Jillian Murray, not only is she really hot but the girl can act. Everytime she was on screen, I stopped throwing random things around.
The Bad
Jesus Christ! this movie was bad. Like REALLY BAD. Talk about a dumb script with lazy execution, Brian Pulido should take a dive after this. Bill Mosely was bearable but man, you are a genre actor at his best so why would you even read this script? And Tony Todd really need to stop being the same guy in every movie he is in. Clare Grant is a worse version of Megan Fox, even her super hotness couldn’t save her from my hatred. And Randy Blythe, I am a big fan of Lamb Of God but he really should’ve been in some other flick. I was dozing throughout the film. Lame-ass dialogues and stupid character, add bad acting to that. The premise had been done better thousand times before. It was so boring that I wanted to stab myself and my dog. I swear to god this movie is awful and I dont wanna rant anymore ’cause it will be a waste of my time and it will leave me pissed off for the next 2 hours.
WTF!?!
There is a sequel on it’s way?!? Motherfucker!!
Overall
Just skip it. That is all I can say and I promise you will be doing yourself a favor. For me it’s a 1 out of 10.

Director: Nick Cohen.
Cast: Anna Brewster(the only one I cared for).
Synopsis: A weekend boating party turns into a nightmare for a group of young Londoners when they stumble upon a terrifying secret hidden in the reeds.
The Good
Reeds, as the name suggests. The boat going though the reeds, wind shaking them gave a creepy atmosphere to the film. It was all….motivating(if that helps).
The only actor I liked, Anna Brewster was good in this. Not that she was really good. Just average, same as the other actors. But her hot british accent makes her a winner.
The mystery we see getting build up was really good, thanks to the director. It’s like when stuff is going, you engage to it. The mystery kept building and left me craving for the “big reveal”.
The Bad
You remember the mystery I was talking about? Well it was all ruined by, you know, our big reveal. Left me pissed off. I mean how the fuck do you ruin a decent effort right there?
The movie was a mess, we see scattered incidents that I hoped will be sued together by the end. It was a disappointment, it was a mess and the plot was all over the place. And at times, really predictable.
I cannot but compare it to ‘Triangle’(which btw was great). They do cross same path and the stuff in ‘The Reeds’ were just stupid.
Overall
I would suggest you to skip the film. It will only leave a bitter taste. I can say that the director could’ve done a better job with some more money and a better script but this just didn’t work out well. This is a 3.5/10 for me.
“3rd film I saw of this year’s After Dark Horrorfest and I frigging loved this one. It’s been a while since I saw a of ‘torture porn’ which has got so many quality stuff in it.”

Cast: Mark Donato, Julin, Lindsay Seidel, Justin Arnold.
What’s It About
The movie on it’s surface is, popular high school douchebags and hot bitches has it coming. They bully the geeks, break their stuff and tell them how hot they are NOT, since they were kids. The outcasts have had enough. They plan to throw a party in a house away from mainland, trick and sedate them, chain them all together AND then torture most of them ONE BY ONE. The others obviously have to witness the torture just the way they witnessed them(outcasts) getting bullied. So, anyways, the plan was tight but you know how it is, occurence THIS huge does not always go as planned. And there is always an idiot in the bunch who just has to fuck it up.
The Pros
It’s great to see all this “horror-components” done right. The development of the film was superb, they didn’t rush into it, fed me just the amount I needed and then pulled it off. The execution comes then, and the acting was beyond nuts. Such an immature cast but all of them did great, yes there were flaws in their acting but when I needed to see their best, there it was.
Another good thing about the movie is, although it is a torture porn it focuses more on the drama-side and actually pulls it off good. The violence(not gore) was quite graphic but that is not what it’s all about.
The movie is not perfect, but when I see what they did with whatever less they had to work with, it just makes me happy. Budget? Low. Actors? Unknown. Movie? Amazing!
The Cons
The cheerleader-type hot-chicks overacted in the first few scenes(it got better when the torture started).
Overall
I never expected this flick to amaze me as much as I am amazed now. A good, if not great movie that I will admit, is not for everyone. Give it a chance, you might have a 1hr 30 minutes of good time waiting for you. I’ll go with 8/10 (A).
